I hit 60,087 words at lunch today.  There are still three segments to write, then I need to fill out some places before sending it off to an editor and cleaning it up.  (Anyone know a good, professional editor?)  After trying four times to write a book and never getting past chapter three, I’m thrilled to be this far.  Shouldn’t be long now!

I decided not to touch the book this last weekend.  I didn’t even open it to glance at any section.  Instead I watched a very large Angel marathon and wrote three new songs, something I haven’t done in a long time.  Now I’m amped for a three day weekend and a lot of writing.

I took the break after the previous weekend and a mini Angel marathon that left me wanting to make Gina quote Drusilla the hilariously insane vampire a lot.  While that would amuse me tremendously, I wasn’t sure how many people would understand the reference:  ”The King of Cups expects a picnic, but this is not his birthday.”

I figured out to how to make the person leave who wouldn’t want to leave.  Up to 56,000 words now.  Stay tuned!

I need one character to exit stage right when it’s the last possible thing she’d want to do.  I love when a rampant flow of inspiration screeches to a halt.  Time to take the rest of the night off and attack again tomorrow.
